• 근래들어 인지 이론에 근거하여 인간의 정보처리 과정을 시뮬레이션할 수 있는 전산 모델인 인지 아키텍쳐(cognitive architecture)를 학습, 언어, 심리, HCI의 다양한 분야에 적용하는 연구가 수행되고 있으며 특히 최근에 이를 차량 운전에 응용하고자 하는 연구가 시도되고 있다. 이에 본 연구실에서는 이러한 인지 아키텍쳐를 바탕으로 한 가상 운전자 모델을 개발하여 이를 운전자-차량 인터페이스의 디자인 및 시뮬레이션 평가에 적용하고자 하는 연구를 수행하고 있다. 또한, 확률 이론에 근거한 인공지능 및 머신 러닝(machine learning) 알고리즘을 응용하여 운전자의 확률 모델을 개발하여 이를 지능형 운전자 지원 시스템에 적용하고자 하는 연구를 수행하고 있다.
